Hello–SSSC #215

SSSC215_2014apr13

Hello, and welcome to this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! The long, narrow element in today’s sketch made me think of the newly released Lily Die-namics. I’d been wanting to use it again so this was a great time to do it. Be sure to check out what the rest of the Sweet Sunday designers have for you at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge blog.

I started with a Kraft card stock base. For the horizontal elements, I chose to use the wider of the Chevron Stripes Die-namics and wrapped around some hemp cord for color contrast. For the bottom stripe, I added a Tangy Orange button with a double bow and the sentiment, from LJD Peaceful Wildflowers, which was stamped on a Traditional Tags STAX Die-namics cut from more Sweet Tooth card stock with Steel Gray ink.

Then I started working on the lilies. I cut the pieces from Orange Fizz card stock and added some shading with a Copic marker. The leaves were cut from Jellybean Green card stock and also got the Copic marker treatment. After they were assembled, I popped them up on a Clearly Sentimental Label Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and popped up, as well.

Another sentiment from LJD Peaceful Wildflowers was stamped on the inside with Steel Gray ink.
