Today we’re previewing Layered Umbrella Die-namics, Cloud Cover-Up Die-namics, Pure Innocence Sunny Thoughts, and Raindrops Stencil. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and to see what the other designers have to show you. Keep in mind that release is on April 8th at 10pm!

I have a couple of cards for you today using some of these products plus a couple of others you’ll see more about later. My first card is using a new Pure Innocence set called PI Sunny Thoughts.

I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then stenciled some modeling paste on Sno Cone card stock using Cloudy Day Stencil and popped that up on foam after I dried it with my heat tool and allowed it to bubble up a bit. I added the fabulous new sun from Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics, cut from Lemon Drop card stock and some clouds, cut from Cloud Cover-Up Die-namics and Steel Gray card stock. Then I stamped the image from PI Sunny Thoughts on X-Press It Blending card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers, cut her out, and popped her up. The sentiment, also from the set, was stamped on Steel Gray card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, then popped up on foam, as well.

Another sentiment from PI Sunny Thoughts was stamped on the inside.

My second card is a baby shower invitation. This card also started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

Then I stenciled some translucent embossing paste onto a piece of Sno Cone card stock  with Raindrops Stencil and allowed that to dry while I constructed my new umbrella—Layered Umbrella Die-namics. I cut the base and ribs from Grout Gray card stock, the handle from Steel Gray card stock, and the canopy from some stamped card stock. I used LLD Mod Borders and stamped Banana Split card stock with Banana Split ink, Bubblegum card stock with Bubblegum ink, and Spearmint card stock with Spearmint ink. I adhered the canopy pieces and, since this die cut has some slits cut along the ribs, you can “shape” it or allow it to lie flat. I shaped mine and popped up the middle on foam to give it dimension.

Here’s a close up of my raindrops—love how this translucent embossing paste makes them look “wet” :)

Once my embossed raindrops dried, I cut it on the diagonal and adhered a Jumbo Ric Rac Die-namics die cut and popped it all up on foam, then added my umbrella. Before adding anything to the base, I stamped the sentiment, from You’re Invited with Sno Cone ink and Steel Gray ink.

On the inside I stamped more sentiments from
You’re Invited.
