Hi, everyone, thanks for joining me today for the MFT’s December Creative Construction With Blueprints. Cards in a flash are the specialty of the Blueprints line and this month, we can all probably use a leg up in that regard! Our challenge this month is simple: create cards based on Blueprints sketches. Any Blueprints, any sketch. Simple choose the paper and let Blueprints do the rest of the work!
I’m using mainly Blueprints 20 Die-namics and I’m using a sketch that was released with it. I chose to use my quilt frame as a window frame for a Wintry scene for this card.
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, added a layer of Cement Gray card stock cut with the tiny scallop die and popped up on foam mounting tape. Then I stamped up some Sweet Tooth card stock with Cement Gray dye ink and Candy Stripes Background Builder, cut it with the smaller layer die and adhered it. I created my scene with Winter Wonderland and Winter Wonderland Die-namics, using Ranger watercolor paper and colored with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.
I have Snow Drifts Die-namics in the background, a BB Somebunny cloud, and a sun, cut from Sunshine card stock with Blueprints 21 Die-namics. I popped the window frame up on foam, added the sentiment, from BB Warmest Wishes, stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and added a Cornflower dye ink stamped Snowflake Flurry and Snowflake Flurry Die-namics accent. A few Pretty Pink Posh sequins finished it off.
And that’s it! Thanks so much for stopping by today—see you soon!

Love your darling card. Such a cute scene behind that die used as a window pane.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this card, Barbara! The gray background it so perfect, it really lets the things in the window stand out! I have this die set but haven't used the "window" idea yet, must give it a try!!!
