It’s time! MFT’s November Release is live right NOW at the MFT Boutique!! All of the products we’ve been showing you for the last five days are now available for purchase in the MFT Boutique!
And it’s been a fabulous five days, hasn’t it? I have a couple of cards for you using the insanely CUTE Mini Modern Blooms and Mini Modern Blooms Die-namics. I totally adore these smaller flowers—there are TWO sizes of everything, no less--they’ve been on my wish list ever since the original was released!
But first, I have to tell you that I am thrilled to be a contributor to this month’s FREE mini classes—there are five tutorials in one PDF file that can be found in the Resources Section of the MFT Blog.
Now, on to tonight’s cards. My first card starts with a Stone Gray card stock base (quickly becoming one of my favorite colors for card bases), then I popped up a Sweet Tooth card stock panel, cut with Blueprints 20 Die-namics on foam mounting tape. Next I cut Ranger Watercolor paper with the also new Stitched Mini Scallop Oval STAX Die-namics, did a watercolor wash background with Peerless Watercolors, stamped the partial sentiment from Amazing, and popped it up, as well.
Then I cut a bunch of the flowers and leaves from Sweet Tooth card stock using Mini Modern Blooms Die-namics and stamped them with the coordinating images from Mini Modern Blooms and lots of colors—all are listed in the supplies and InLinkz below. I arranged them on the oval, some adhered directly and some popped up for dimension. I completed the sentiment by cutting three copies of Doubly Amazing Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock, glued them together for more dimension, and adhered it in place. To finish off I added some Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins.
*****
My second card is a little more CAS.
This card also starts with a Stone Gray card stock base. Then, on Ranger watercolor paper, I did a light wash using Peerless Watercolors and stamped my Mini Modern Blooms directly onto the watercolor paper. First I inked up my stamps using pretty much the same colors as the above card, but then gave them a light spritzing with water before I stamped—I love the slightly blurred watercolor look that provides. To make my flowers pop a little, I added some white gel pen dots in the centers for contrast before popping that up on the base with foam mounting tape.
I stamped the partial sentiment from Amazing on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped it up as well. I completed this sentiment in the same manner by cutting three copies of Doubly Amazing Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock, glued them together, and adhered it in place. And again, to finish off I added some Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins.
And that’s it! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR Mini Modern Blooms stamp set and Mini Modern Blooms Die-namics in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, December 10th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on Friday, December 11th. Good luck!!
