Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
I decided to not take the sketch entirely literally. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then did a watercolor wash on some Ranger watercolor paper with Peerless watercolors for the top square-ish element, then popped it up on foam mounting tape. Next, for the bottom rectangle element I used some stenciled watercolor paper I found in my stash, made with Scattered Bars Stencil and Pure Plum dye ink, Orange Zest dye ink, Blu Raspberry dye ink, and Black Licorice dye ink as watercolors, and using a small water brush.
Then I added a strip of Pure Plum card stock stamped with Versamark and a partial sentiment from BB Birthday Bears, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and adhered. I cut four copies of the middle size Happy Trio Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock, adhered them together for dimension, and added it for the smaller rectangle element. Finally, I added three balloons from BB Birthday Bears cut from watercolor paper, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink, and colore with inks and a water brush. To finish it off, I added some enamel dots.
And that’s it for today from me! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
