Hello, thanks for joining me for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! Jodi is the hostess this week and she has chosen a SWEET color combo for us to work with.
I started with a Grout Gray card stock base. Then I cut some Ranger watercolor paper with Blueprints 20 Die-namics and did a watercolor wash with Peerless Watercolors and popped it up with foam mounting tape. Then I cut more watercolor paper with LJD Poppies and Leaves Die-namics, stamped the coordination images from LJD Delicate Pretty Poppies with Black Licorice hybrid ink, and colored them with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.
The stems were stamped directly onto the popped up layer and then popped up the poppies and leaves on foam. I added a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Black Licorice dye ink and Bold Diagonal Stripes Background and stamped the sentiment with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 4 Die-namics. I heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, popped it up, and finished off with some enamel dots.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD376 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd376 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented January Guest Designer, Amy Rysavy!
