Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
I decided to create a little aquarium scene with this sketch and had a ton of fun doing it! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Following the sketch, I cut a piece of Ranger Watercolor Paper, stamped it with Whimsical Waves Background, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, applied my underwater background with Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush, and adhered it to the base. Then I applied molding paste on Sweet Tooth card stock through Herringbone Bricks Stencil and set it aside to dry.
Then I stamped the images from Soak Up the Fun stamp set with Black Licorice hybrid ink, cut them out with Soak Up the Fun Die-namics, colored them with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers, and adhered them to the background. You can’t really tell from the photo, but I joined the two front panels with Heat Resistant Acetate card stock, then popped it up on foam mounting tape—the acetate really gives it an aquarium look :) Finally, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped it up, as well.
And that’s it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!
Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
