Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! My girl Jodi is our hostess this week and she’s chosen some rich colors based on her gorgeous inspiration piece.
I’m using Poppies Background for my, well, background, stamped on Stathmore Bristol Smooth card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink. I sponged the flower I intended to spotlight with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and around the perimeter with Old Paper Distress ink then popped the panel up on Primitive Cream card stock. Then I stamped and colored the spotlight poppy from Poppy Blooms Stamp Set using No Line Coloring card stock, Extreme Black hybrid ink, and Copic markers then popped it up on foam tape.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD585 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd585 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week along with our March Guest Designer, Cat Craig!
