Welcome to the last day of previews for MFT’s June Mid-month release!! Today we’re previewing Fine-Lined Floral, Coral Flair Background, and Harmonious Hibiscus Background. Release is tomorrow, June 23rd, at 10am Eastern. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and more inspiration.
I thought the Coral Flair Background looked like shells, which reminded me of those frames you can buy that are covered in shells—know which ones I’m talking about? So, I thought a frame cut out of this background would be pretty cool for a tropical underwater scene. To begin, I stamped the background on Kraft card stock with Versa mark and heat embossed it with clear detail embossing powder. Next I cut out the center, leaving a nice wide frame.
I created a watercolor wash underwater back ground, adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base, and popped the frame up on it with foam tape.
The schooling fish were stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink, and the images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and added to the scene with foam tape. The sentiment was heat embossed with white detail embossing powder and adhered with foam tape for the finish!
Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for MFT’s June Mid-month release!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise to see the fish on this card with the 'flowers' background stamp! But it makes sense when you described the seashell frames (yep, I know exactly what you're talking about). What fun! Thanks for sharing!
