Halfway to the Big Day--Three Days Until MFT's July Release!

Hello and welcome to Day Three of MFT's July Release Countdown! Release is in three days, July 6th, at 10am Eastern so make a note! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for ALL the details! Today we're previewing Something to Squawk About Stamp Set, Something to Squawk About Die-namics, Summer Safari Stamp Set, Summer Safari Die-namics, and Leafy Layer Cover-Up Die-namics.

This set has some lovely tropical birds and I wanted to try to recreate what I saw when we were in the jungle in Belize several years ago. Looking up through the tall tree canopy, you could see the sun peeking through and monkeys and birds filled the trees. This card takes me back there.

I started with a Lazy Day card stock base, cut Leafy Layer Cover-Up from Prickly Pear card stock and adhered it to the card front with spray adhesive. Just before I stuck it down, I added an A2 Circle STAX Die-namics sun cut from Lemon Drop card stock. Next I stamped the images from Something to Squawk About Stamp Set on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

The images were then popped up on the card front with foam tape, as was the sentiment, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Fishtail Foundations Die-namics. I really love how this tuned out.

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Two of MFT's July Release Countdown!
