Merry and Bright - Color Throwdown Challenge #665

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Susie Moore is our hostess and she has a SWEET color palette for us based on this non-traditional Halloween-themed image.

I used these colors for a non-traditional Christmas card design and I love it! To begin, I stamped some "greenery" on the side of a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock using Black Licorice dye ink and Wonderful Woods Stamp Set. Next I heat embossed the sentiment, from Merry and Bright Stamp Set with silver detail embossing powder.

Once that was done I popped the card front up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape, then cut the light string from Christmas Lights Die-namics from Silver Sparkle card stock and adhered it on top of the "greenery". Then I cut and assembled the lights, using Cotton Candy, Sno Cone, and Grapesicle card stock along with more Silver Sparkle card stock and popped them up on foam on the string.

To finish off I added some matching/coordinating glitter enamel dots and was done!

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword #CTD665 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd665 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
