Sending You Sunshine–Crazy 4 Challenges #550

Hello, welcome to another
Crazy 4 Challenges post! Today is my last guest spot for the month—it’s been a ton of fun to play along with the team this month! This week’s challenge is retro. I think this beach scene qualifies, don’t you?

I started by watercoloring my background with Peerless Watercolors and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Next I cut Natural card stock with Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and framed the background by popping it up on foam tape—this also acts as the beach element. I added a few elements from Beach Scene Builder Die-namics to complete the scene, along with Petite Clouds Die-namics.

Next I stamped images from Sun-Lovin’ Santa Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut them out with coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers and popped them up in the scene. To finish off, I added a heat embossed sentiment on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics, also with foam tape.

And that’s it from me today! Be sure to check out what the Crazy 4 Challenges team has to show you, too, and hope to see you playing along!

Peek-a-Boo, I Want to See You–Crazy 4 Challenge #549

Hey there, it’s time for another
Crazy 4 Challenges! This week we’re challenged to create an Oriental theme card. This adorable panda is the only thing I have that would work so I’m using MFT’s Panda Pals Stamp Set and Die-namics.

I created a background focal point by stenciling Mini Cloud Edges and Grassy Edges Stencil through Oval Extraordinaire Stencil using Blue Breeze and Sour Apple dye inks and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock with foam tape.

Witch, Please! Crazy 4 Challenges #548

Hi there, I’m back again with another
Crazy 4 Challenges card! Today is sketch day and here’s my interpretation of it.

I started by creating my background using Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Inks, Ranger Distress Micro Glaze, and white craft paint on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper. The sentiment, from Sassy Pants Spooktacular Stamp Set was heat embossed and the card front was popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

Next I added the moon, cut from Lemon Chiffon card stock with A2 Circle STAX Die-namics. The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on the card front with foam tape.

And that’s it from me today! Be sure to check out what the Crazy 4 Challenges team has to show you, too, and hope to see you playing along!

Happy Birthday, Sweet 16–Crazy 4 Challenges #547

Hi everyone, I’m back with a new
Crazy 4 Challenges card. Our challenge this week is to create a Sweet 16 card. This was a fun challenge and I love what I came up with for it!

To begin, I stamped Balloon Bundle Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers. Once they were colored, I added highlights with a Sakura white Gelly Roll pen. Next I created my back ground by simple spattering some black and gold acrylic ink on a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock and once dry, popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

Next I popped up Balloon Bundle with foam, added the sentiment, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock. Then I added “16” cut from Gold Sparkle card stock with Impact Alphabet Die-namics and finished off with Sweet Die-namics cut from Black Licorice card stock.

And there you have it—thanks so much for stopping by today! See you later for more from MFT’s August Release Countdown!

Life is a Picnic–Crazy 4 Challenges #546

Hi everyone, I’m so tickled to be guesting for
Crazy 4 Challenges again this month! I was one of the founding members of this challenge and it holds a special place in my heart. I’m always happy to join these girls again so many thanks to them for the invite!

Here’s this week’s challenge: Apparently the first Saturday in August is “Campfire Day”, so let’s do a camping/campfire themed card.

I don’t have any camping related stamps so I went with a picnic theme instead—you do picnic while you’re camping, right? To carry out that theme, I got out BB Every Day is  Picnic Stamp Set and Die-namics. The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

The background was created with Mini Cloud Edges Stencil, Blue Breeze dye ink. Grassy Fields Die-namics, cut from Gumdrop Green card stock grounding the scene. At the bottom of a Sweet Tooth card stock base, I added a strip of Buffalo Brights Paper Pad with some super cute ant visitors stamped on it.

The background was popped up on foam tape as were all the colored images. The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips for the finish.

And that’s it from me today! Be sure to check out what the Crazy 4 Challenges team has to show you, too, and hope to see you playing along!

Birthday Candles–Crazy 4 Challenges #369

C4C369_2017jan21

Hello and welcome to this week’s Crazy 4 Challenges! As it’s the third Saturday of the month, it’s sketch week and here’s the sketch we’re working with.

Being as I have an aversion to square cards I went A2. I’m using Make a Wish Stamp Set and Make a Wish Die-namics for the candles and stamped sentiment—all ink and card stock colors are listed below. The horizontal element was cut with Stitched Basic Edges 2 Die-namics and Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 Die-namics, using Sweet Celebration Paper Pack and Tropical Teal card stock.

The “happy” part of the sentiment was cut with Cause for Celebration Die-namics three times, adhered together for dimension and strength, and adhered to the candles and it was done.

And that's it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you!

THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C369.

Thanks for stopping by today—see you soon!
