Flourishes 1, 2, 3 Create Kit - Little Black Dress

Today we're revealing December's 1, 2 3 Create Kit. You can get all the details at the Flourishes Blog.
Oh, how I love the paper is this kit, Little Black Dress by Basic Grey. Totally elegant and sophisticated, just like all the matching embellishments and ribbon that Flourishes has put together for you. For my card, I'm using the paper (of course!), the black gemstones, and the shiny cream color ribbon. You know I love ribbon that ties a pretty bow, and this stuff is heavenly to work with! Since this kit is so elegant and classy, I decided to go with an anniversary card and to keep it relatively uncluttered, using Flourishes' Wedded Bliss set. The "doily" was cut using Spellbinders' Picot Edge Circle die, and the sentiment was cut out with a Petite Oval Nestabilities die. My base card is from Classic Ivory card stock.

Now, be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you today...

Flourishes Pre-Release Challenge

I know a lot of folks aren't really ready to say the four little letters F-A-L-L, but if you look down fashion runways, it's here and trend reports are already raving about the new "in" colors! So, as we get ready to turn up the shades of the season in our closets, why not incorporate some of those "it" colors in our cards as well?

These are the yummy colors that Pantone says are in for the fall season ahead!

HOW TO PLAY: Simply incorporate one or more of these colors on your card or creation and you'll be in the running! After you create your card, be sure to go to the Flourishes Blog and link up using our Inlinkz widget. You’ll need to share your link there to be in the running! You have until September 16th at 5PM EST to enter! This month we have 3 new stamp sets to share. The previews start next Wednesday and just think, you could WIN them all!

Now, when you make the rounds to our fabulous designers, you might notice something about their creations! A handful of them are using Flourishes brand new 123 Create Kit called Garden Girl! It's hot and trendy and guess what? It uses some of those fabulous "in" colors for fall! Check it out!

With this kit you get a 6 by 6 Bo Bunny Garden Girl Paper Pack, matching Bo Bunny jewels, 10 fun-filled daisy charms, 2 yards of 1/2" purple May Arts ribbon, 2 yards of olive green wrinkled May Arts ribbon and one yard of beautiful pleated satin ribbon in a lush chocolate brown! All of this for just $17. Think of the fun you'll have creating with all of these goodies! You can click HERE to pick up your kit before they are gone!
Time is movin' ON! OMGoodness, it's almost Christmas! People who know me well know this is almost true for me, LOL! BUT, for the time being we're going to savor Fall and what better way to do it than with this wonderful color palette and Flourishes September 1,2,3 Create Kit!

I chose to use the September flower from Flourishes A Year In Flowers, Set 3. I stamped it on Classic White card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, then colored it with Copic makers and cut it out with my Grand Calibur machine and a Labels Eighteen Nestabilities die. Before I took it out of the die, I sponged it lightly around the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink then layered it on a Labels Fourteen Nestabilities die. Then I popped it on on some fabulous paper from the kit, tied on a bow from the gorgeous ribbon included, and added some flat backed pearls, also included in the kit. All of this is on a base of Classic Ivory card stock.

So, now's the time to show us your fall colors. You can get all the details at the Flourishes blog HERE.   Need a little inspiration to get you on your creative way? Check out what our DT whipped up with these ever-so-pretty fall shades! You won't be disappointed, I'm sure :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you create!

Flourishes 1, 2, 3 Create Kit

So what do you think of all the fabulous 1, 2, 3 Create Kits that Flourishes has been releasing? Aren't they awesome?!?! I just love how much thought has been put into each and every one to match all the papers, ribbons, embellishments so you don't have to.

Today we're introducing another new one and it's right up my alley.

Amazing collection, for only $20--a great deal for all you get. There are some add-ons that can be ordered separately, as well:

And here's what I did with it--I went vintage and did the extreme distressing thing :) I love all the gorgeous colors in this kit. Sigh. And see that ribbon? It has dots on both sides so no matter how you tie your bow, you don't have a plain side! Love. And it's not quite that blue--I couldn't get it the right color without changing everything else so I left it. And I couldn't decide which shade of rose to use so I used one of each ;-) And I LOVE that cotton lace that's sorta ruffled. Yum!

I decided to make a sentiment my focal image and chose the newly released Motherly Love. I stamped it on some of the patterned paper and cut it out with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die and my Grand Calibur. Then I made a "frame" with my Labels One, Small dies and popped the sentiment panel up on that. I ran the brown panel through my paper crimper before adhering it. You can't tell from the picture, but it does add dimension IRL. Finally, I added some bling from the kit and a punched out butterfly for accent.

A couple more designers have samples today to show you how versatile this kit is. So be sure to stop in to see:

Flourishes 1, 2, 3 Create Kit

Hi there, everyone! Did you see the new kits that Flourishes introduced a couple of weeks ago? Well, they went so fast that last Monday they introduced another one. And, yep, you guessed it...they flew off the shelves, too! So today, we have yet another kit to introduce that I'm sure will follow the other into sold out-dom. Yeah, that's a word ;-)

Here's what's in this kit:
Basic Grey Hello Luscious Paper Pack
1 Yard 1-1/2” Yellow Silk
1 Yard 1-1/2” Green Silk
2 Yards Hot Pink Cotton 5/8” Ribbon
1 Yard Hot Pink Crochet Lace
9 Silver Ribbon Slides
70-plus square light and dark pink rhinestones in two sizes

You can find out more about the kits and purchase them HERE. For my card, I'm using one of my favorite Flourishes stamp sets, A Year In Flowers, Set 1. I stamped the pansies on Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers. I'm using Basic Grey's new Hello Luscious paper along with the hot pink cotton linen ribbon from the kit.

After I colored the image, I cut it out with my Grand Calibur and a Labels Seventeen Nestabilities die and matted it with a Labels Eight die, and the sentiment and mat were cut with Classic Oval dies. To finish it off, I tied a piece of that fabulous hot pink cotton linen ribbon around in a bow. Oooo, that stuff ties like a dream!!! Love it!!

Want to see more of this kit in action? Check out what these designers have for you:
Here are the Copic markers I used.
