PTI November Blog Hop Challenge

I just had to play along this month--this inspiration photo is gorgeous and just shouts hospitality to me. As soon as I saw it I knew I could use it to help me with my NEXT year's Open House invitations.

Of course I also immediately thought of my new Door To Door stamp set and die accessories. My plan - since I have a prototype done now :) - is to try to get a few done every month so I won't be stressing over them come next November. I love the black on white with the little pop of color in the wreath. Very simple but elegant, too. And it didn't take *too* long to do, so here's hoping!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I used Year Of Flowers Collection for my flower image, Garden Variety for the images on the seed packet and sentiment, and the Seed Packet and Seed Packet Frame dies for the actual seed packet.A simple layout, some Melissa Frances paper, lace, seam binding, and a twine-tied button finish it off.

Celebrate Your Day

Today I have a card for the Fall-To Layout Challenge #89. Love this simple layout, which is perfect for using some of the new Dotty Biscotti PTI patterned paper. The sentiment panel is Rustic White, stamped in Dark Chocolate. I stamped the butterflies--from Butterfly Dreams--on Rustic White with Dark Chocolate, stamped off once, and colored in with a BG14 Copic marker. I added some rhinestones to the butterflies' bodies, also colored with BG14 after I cut them out. Finally, I popped the butterflies up on Pop Dots and it was done!

Thanks for stopping by! I'll have a Flourishes Timeless Tuesday card tomorrow. We have a really different challenge this week--you won't want to miss it!

Stamps: Butterfly Dreams, Signature Greetings (PTI)
Paper: Kraft, Hawaiian Shores, Rustic White, Dotty Biscotti (PTI)

Papertrey Ink April Blog Hop

This is my first PTI customer blog hop and I'm so excited!! This month's challenge was to use tissue paper on a card or project. Since I loved how the faux silk card I did a while back turned out so well I thought I'd do that again.

I got my inspiration from an Elle Decor magazine I saw at my hair salon, LOL! It was an ad for some wallpaper that instantly gave me this idea. First, I stamped the image from With Sympathy on tissue paper, from my last PTI order (I feel so GREEN, LOL!), with Enchanted Evening ink. Then I adhered the tissue to a piece of Kraft card stock with a glue stick and trimmed the edges. Next, I added some white to the leaves with a gel pen. Then I added a ribbon and bow using Summer Sunrise Swiss Dot Satin Ribbon, stamped the butterfly with Summer Sunrise ink, cut it out, and popped it up on half of a small Pop Dot. Finally, I stamped the sentiment, added it to an Enchanted Evening card base, and added some pearls that I colored with Copic markers. I tried to get a good picture of the faux silk effect but I couldn't. I think it's because it's on Kraft instead of white--whatever, it just wouldn't show up.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm really happy with how this turned out and I hope you like it, too!
