Peek-a-Boo, I Want to See You–Crazy 4 Challenge #549

Hey there, it’s time for another Crazy 4 Challenges! This week we’re challenged to create an Oriental theme card. This adorable panda is the only thing I have that would work so I’m using MFT’s Panda Pals Stamp Set and Die-namics.

I created a background focal point by stenciling Mini Cloud Edges and Grassy Edges Stencil through Oval Extraordinaire Stencil using Blue Breeze and Sour Apple dye inks and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock with foam tape.

The images were stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam tape on the background.

Have a Wicked Birthday–MFT August Birthday Project Challenge

When your birthday card provides some entertainment in addition to conveying birthday wishes, well, that's just a bonus! With a wide array of options for including an interactive component in your designs, why wouldn't you add a bonus element for the birthday boy or girl to enjoy? Need some ideas? My go to for interactive is shaker! I love it them myself so I figure most others will too. I love the sound, the movement, and the sparkle of the sequins and beads. What’s not to like, right?? This design doesn’t have to be for an October birthday but it’s perfect for one that’s around Halloween.

To begin, I did my back ground so it could dry while I was coloring. I sponged Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed, Wilted Violet, Black Soot Distress Inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper then splattered clean water and white craft ink for the spooky sky. Once it was dry I created the shaker element using Circle Shaker Window & Frame and Happy Birthday Circle Frame Die-namics, a Circle Shaker Pouch, 1/8” Scor-Tape, and sequins and seed beads to match. Once it was done, it was adhered to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape.

I still had BB Witch Way is the Candy? Stamp Set and Die-namics on my desk so I thought, “Why not?”. The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on the card front with foam tape. The sentiment, from Sassy Pants Spooktacular Stamp Set was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock and also adhered with foam tape.

I’m Under Your Spell–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #503

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.





I’m still kinda in Halloween mode so I thought I’d see what I could do with this sketch. After looking through my sets I realized I hadn’t used BB Witch Way is the Candy? set this year so out it came! I created the back ground first, using Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Wilted Violet Distress Inks, spattered clean water, and then white craft paint for that spooky sky.

The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock and since the frog was masked on the pumpkin, I fussy cut them all out after coloring with Copic markers.

I added the tree from Haunted House Die-namics, cut from Milk Chocolate card stock and Grassy Hills Die-namics cut from Jellybean Green card stock after heat embossing the sentiment. Foam tape was used for dimension. I had a ton of fun making this card!

If You’ve Got it, Haunt It–Color Throwdown Challenge #607

Hello, everyone, I’m back with this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! Lori is our hostess this week with colors based on her refreshing inspiration piece. We hope to see you playing along with us!





I basically got all the colors done in my sponged background, using Mustard Seed, Wilted Violet, and Faded Jeans Distress Inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper. I adhered that to a Sweet Tooth card stock base and proceed to build my scene, all using allowed neutrals.

To create my scene, I used Haunted House, A2 Circle, Grassy Hills, and Ghostly Greetings Stamp Set and Die-namics.

Once my scene was all plotted out, I heat embossed the sentiment from Sassy Pants Spooktacular Stamp Set and assembled it all, using foam tape for dimension.

Warm Wishes & Sunny Smiles–MFT August Vault Release!

Hello! It’s time!! MFT’s August Vault Release is now live! Everything we’ve shown you the last two days is not available for purchase in the MFT Online Boutique!

I have another tropical-themed card for you today—maybe I’m stuck on these since we didn’t get to go on our annual trip to Belize this year, LOL! Maybe, but mainly because I love these sets so much and was SO happy to see them come back!! Today’s card features BB Polynesian Paradise Stamp Set and Die-namics along with Tiki Hut Die-namics. The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers. Next I created the Tiki Hut, cut from Kraft card stock and sponged with Kraft dye ink and the sun, cut from Lemon Drop card stock with A2 Circle STAX

My background was created by sponging Blue Breeze dye ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper using Rolling Clouds Stencil. Then I masked off the bottom and sponged it with Summer Splash dye ink and added the “sand” cut with Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics from Natural card stock sponged with Kraft dye ink and popped up on foam.

Once all that was done I assembled all the pieces, using foam tape for dimension and heat embossed the sentiment for the finish.
