Something New - Stamp Simply #120

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! I'm wishing each and every one a happy, safe, and prosperous 2010!!!

Now, are you ready for the first Stamp Simply Challenge of 2010??? In honor of the NEW year, Sharon wants us to do/use something NEW to us. Here's what she says:

Jan 1 - ssnotime120 - Happy NEW Year, Everyone! Emphasis is on NEW. Today we will create a project using something NEW -- perhaps a gift received, something you treated yourself to, or maybe even something you purchased or received ages ago and just haven't used yet. Whatever is NEW to you -- just give it a try -- and you can interpret this very liberally -- you could try a NEW technique, a NEW fold, anything that is NEW to you!!! Just be sure to tell us what NEW thing you are showing us -- have fun!!!

So, I just got these new Flourishes A Year In Flowers Calendar Sets and I've been itchin' to get them inky. I don't know if I'll ever get a calendar made with them, LOL, but I ADORE botanicals and these are gorgeous! JUST the right size to add to a card, too. I'm gonna try to do one a month until they're done ;-)

I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel from MFT with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers. Then I cut/embossed it with a Classic Oval Nestabilities die and popped it up on 3M foam squares. Paper is from the Poppyfinch 6 x 6 pack from Memory Box. My layout is pretty simple--I wanted the gorgeous flowers to get the attention.
