My Favorite Things March Blog Hop!

The big night is finally here!!! It's My Favorite Things' March release blog hop and have we got some good stuff for you! If you got here from Cindy's blog, you're on track, if not, slip back over to Kim's blog 'cause that's the beginning of all this fabulousness. Yes, I'm sure that's a word ;-)

So, are you ready? I'm showing you the latest in the Clearly Sentimental line: Clearly Sentimental About Birthdays. I REALLY {heart} sentiments so I'm REALLY lovin' this new line. This set is this month's Triple Scoop set. What's the Triple Scoop deal, you ask? Well, I'm glad you asked ;-)

Any time is a great time to shop MFT! Our Triple Scoop program rewards you every day! Simply purchase 3 full sized sets ($15.95 or higher) and receive a FREE set from MFT.
After you've added your 3 set choices to your cart, purchase the free Triple Scoop product to receive your free set. You can always purchase the Triple Scoop Promo set at it's normal price as well, but free is always better!

Cherry on Top Reward: This reward is for our most loyal MFT fans! When you purchase 7 full-sized stamp sets ($15.95 or $17.95 price point), on top of earning the Triple Scoop set of the month, you'll also choose ANY set on the site for FREE. Simply add the Cherry on Top product to your cart and specify the set of your choice in the comments section of your order. (Two $9 sets count as one full-sized set, so you can mix and match sets of different price points to reach your desired reward level.)

*If your Cherry on Top reward set is out of stock at the time your order is filled, you will be sent a gift code for the amount of the set you chose WITH your order. This may be redeemed at any time and will not expire.

Is that a good deal, or what!?

So, let me show you what I did with this set. In the not-too-distant future, my DH is going on a trip and needs a hostess gift for an elderly lady. A set of birthday cards came to mind so my project was born :) I decided to do the same layout for all four cards in the set, but change out the patterned paper and use a different sentiment for each card. I'm using Sour Apple and Sno Cone card stock. This card stock is really nice--a great weight, and if you're looking for a substitute for Soft Sky, Sno Cone is the ticket! Not perfect, but so close you won't notice. I'm also using Glittered Garnishes from the Summer collection, and buttons from my stash are tied on with twine from Bakery Blend Ribbons.

Here's the card set, all boxed up with a matching "cover" for the acetate box they're in.

Card number 1:

Card number 2:

Card number 3:

And card number 4:

Here's the inside of each one. I used the same sentiment, just switched up the paper to match the front of the card.

Then, I thought the envelopes needed a little somthin' somethin', so I added a monogram to the flap, using Bling 'Bet.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope I've given you a little inspiration for using this set. NOW you need to hop on along to the phenomenal AMY's blog to see what she has--I have every reason to believe it will knock your socks off! And don't forget that one of the stops has some BLOG CANDY. We're not tellin' where it is, but you might want to be sure to leave some love at every stop to improve your chances of winning. I'm just sayin'...
