Hi, all, back again with another Gabrielle 1, 2, 3 Create Kit from Flourishes. I really, really love this kit. The papers are gorgeous, the ribbon and embellishments are perfection!
Everything I used on this card, except the stamp set and the Spellbinders dies, is included in the kit. First of all, I stamped the tulip from the Thank You set on patterned paper with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out. Then I put the card base together. See that brown sheer ribbon? It is SOOOOOO silky sheer. I've been seeing some pleated ribbon about blogland and decided to use this to make my own. I simply put a strip of 1/8" Scor Tape on the edge of the ribbon and began to pleat it. The Scor Tape kept it in place until I got a long enough piece pleated, then I added another strip of Scor tape to hold it firmly together. Then I put a piece of that dotted ribbon over the taped edge to hide the Scor Tape. After I stamped the sentiment, also from the Thank You set, I stamped the large text piece on more patterned paper, cut it out with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die and matted it with a scalloped die cut. Finally, I added some bling and popped up the tulip to finish it off.
You can see more cards made with this kit at a couple of my team mates' blogs. Be sure to check them out and then go get yourself one of these kits!
