Since it’s Wednesday, it’s time for the Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Danielle has a sweet color combo for us.
For my card, I brought out my Die-namics Well Worn Greetings Die & Stamp Set. Much as I love all the new stuff, this set remains a favorite and go to set for me. And this paper, from MME’s Indie Chic “Nutmeg” Collection, was so close to the color combo that I went with it :) I’m also using MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #48 for my layout.
After I cut out all my focal image layers, I stamped the sentiment with Pool Party Ink and the border with Crumb Cake. I did some stitching and added a Die-namics Royal Rose and some Die-namics Royal Leaves for accent.
I stamped the sentiment on the inside the same way.
Here are the Die-namics dies I used on this card:
And that’s that! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD196 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week.

This is beautiful, Bar....the papers you used are just perfect for the challenge colors this week and I love the sweet little rolled flower!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the layering of the dies you used on the sentiment and your pretty patterned flower is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove the mix of patterned paper you used. Your rolled flower is so pretty, too--I'd never think to use a patterned paper for a flower like this, but you make it look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWow, those papers are gorgeous together! I thought I had had most of MME's pads but looks like I missed getting that one! Love the sentiment layering!
ReplyDeleteI love all those beautiful papers, Barbara! The warm, friendly greeting goes so well with those papers too!
