Welcome to this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! This week the fabulous Broni is our host and here is her palette of pastel colors:
I decided to use a set that (GASP!) had never seen ink before—Die-namics Ring Me & Stamp Set. I cut the phone from patterned paper and added the stamped and die cut dial. I raised the receiver up a bit like it was ringing off the hook, LOL! This is so cute! I’ll be using it more, I’m sure! I used some wired gold cord for the phone cord—simply wrapped it around a small paint brush to get the spiral effect, then I added some seam binding, a twine tied button, and a stick pin. Some stitching and some clear Dew Drops finish it off.
Here’s the inside, with another sentiment from the set.
Here is the Die-namics die I used on this card:
And that’s that! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD195 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our awesome guest designer for this month: Anna Wight!!

ReplyDeleteBarbara, this card is SO darling. I've added it my pinterest board. But I can't seem to find the set on MFT ... is it a discontinued item? I'm a child of the 50's and this set just brings back such fond memories. Thanks for sharing your talents with us!
