Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! Tammy has a fun and festive color combo for us today, inspired by this great vintage typed fabric. Just a reminder, next Wednesday will be the last challenge for 2014—we will be taking the last two weeks off for the holidays, but we’ll be back on January 7th with the first challenge of 2015!
My card started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then, using silver mirror paper, I cut Merry Photo Card Frame Die-namics and set it aside. On a piece of Berrylicious card stock, I stamped the trio of snowflakes from LJD Snowflake Splendor with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I adhered that to my card base and popped the silver frame up on tape. I added a Winter Rose Die-namics, cut from Bubblegum card stock and stippled with a red Copic marker to simulate the natural look of a Lenten Rose. I added Royal Leaves Die-namics, cut from Gumdrop Green card stock and a silver mirror card stock center. I finished off with a few scattered clear gems on the snowflakes.
A sentiment from LJD Snowflake Splendor was stamped on the inside with Black Licorice dye ink.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD322 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented December Guest Designer, Sue Lelli!
