You Have a Heart of Gold–Color Throwdown Challenge #576

Hi there, welcome to a new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Lisa is our hostess and she’s challenging us to a lovely palette based on her cozy inspiration piece.

I decided to use gold for the mustard and I think it works wonderfully. First I did a watercolor wash background on Ranger Watercolor paper with Peerless Watercolors (the turquoise is more teal IRL) and after it dried splattered it with gold acrylic ink and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape. Then I cut Hearts Entwined Die-namics from Gold Shine card stock and adhered it with spray adhesive.

The sentiment is from Smitten with You Stamp Set and I’ve been wanting to use it since I got the set so I thought this was perfect. It was heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics and adhered with foam tape for dimension. I finished off with some enamel dots and was done!!
