Warm Wishes–January MFT Hits & Highlights

Snow globes are truly magical — miniature scenes encased in glass and swirling snow. The beauty of snow globes is that while we often think of holiday tableaus, you can create almost any scene you’d like within those domed confines! This month, we’ve got winter on our minds, and the team have been challenged to create snow globe scenes to celebrate the beauty of winter.

I absolutely LOVE to make Winter cards so this one was no challenge to me! First I stamped images from BB Toasty Greetings Stamp Set on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers. Next I cut Sweet Tooth card stock with A2 Rectangle STAX  Set 2 Die-namics, cut Tall Snow Globe Die-namics from the center, replaced the center with Grout Gray card stock, and applied glitter snow through Snowfall – Vertical Stencil and set both pieces aside to dry. While that was happening I adhered Petite Patterns Paper Pack to a Sweet Tooth card stock base, cut Ranger Woodgrain card stock with the base of Tall Snow Globe Die-namics, and sponged it with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. Love how real that looks!

Next I cut adhered a Tall Snow Globe Shaker Pouch using 1/8” Scor-Tape and created the mini scene, adding Snow Hillside Die-namics elements. I filled the pouch with chunky glitter, placed the back with the scene attached, closed it up, and popped it up on foam tape on the card base. The snow globe base was also popped up on foam tape and I finished off with the heat embossed sentiment, stamped on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics.
