Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Wanda is our hostess and she’s got some lovely colors for us to play with based on her equally lovely inspiration piece. We hope you’ll come along and play with us this week!
My mojo’s been on vaca for a while now—hopefully just a function of the times we’re in—so I went CAS with this card. I love Mini Cupcake Maker Die-namics and decided to get it out again for this card along with You Take the Cake Die-namics.
I created a shaker element by cutting You Take the Cake Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock, added a clear acetate card stock window, used foam tape for the dams, and seed beads for the filler. I popped that up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base after tying around some baker’s twine.
I cut the cupcake from No Line Coloring card stock, colored it with Copic markers, and popped it up on the card front with foam tape.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD590 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd590 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week along with our April Guest Designer, Judy Rozema!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you soon!
