MFT & Friends, July Edition

Hello! It's time for the July
MFT and Friends Feature! The new release is available now for purchase so be sure to head on over to the MFT Online Boutique and shop! And don't forget to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details, more inspiration, and a chance to win a prize!

For my card today, I used one of the sentiments in Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings 3 for my inspiration. To begin, I sponged Lazy Day and Sour Apple dye inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper through Watercolor Wash Rectangle Stencil. Once dry, and leaving the stencil in place, I spattered with clean water.

Once THAT was dry I removed the stencil and spattered lightly with black acrylic ink then adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with narrow strips of Black & White Stripes Patterned Paper at top and bottom.

Next I stamped two images from BB Birthday Chicks Stamp Set, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers. The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock and popped up on the card front with foam tape. The chicks were also popped up on foam to complete the design.

Visit each of the designer posts linked on the MFT Blog today and leave a comment by the end of the day on Thursday, July 8th, for your chance to WIN one of two, $100 MFT Shopping Sprees. The winners will be chosen at random and announced March 19. Start now because you don't want to miss a single post!
