I was so excited when I got the email from Kim at eclectic Paperie inviting me to participate in their birthday blog hop! Even though I’m no longer on the design team, I still do a fair bit of shopping there :)

For my card today I started with some patterned paper from Authentique’s Grace 8 x 8 pad. I matted it with some MFT Primitive Cream card stock and popped it up on a Primitive Cream card stock base. To created the stripes on each side, I adhered a strip of 1/8” ScorTape on the left and 1/4” ScorTape on the right, then sprinkled some of the new Tim Holtz Distress Glitter in Broken China. I pressed it down really well onto the ScorTape before shaking it off and I love the way it looks! This glitter is not “glitter-y” if you know what I mean. It looks really vintage and I’m thinking I’ll be using it a lot in the future.

The sentiment is from LJD Birthday Greetings from MFT and was stamped on an MFT Die-namics Designer Labels 3 STAX die cut with Steel Gray ink and Blu Raspberry ink, popped up on Scotch Foam Mounting Tape. I finished off everything by sponging with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

Embossed Birthday

Hi there! I wanted today’s card to be very elegant and I think I succeeded, don’t you? I’m using MFT’s Die-namics Vintage Cameo Frame Die & Stamp Set and decided to go tone-on-tone for my design.

I embossed Whip Cream card stock with the Elite embossing folder and then started layering. Next is a Die-namics Designer Labels 1 STAX,
then the Vintage Cameo frame, also dry embossed, with the image stamped on the inside with Versafine Black Onyx ink. The layers are popped up on foam tape and I tied around a sheer black ribbon. Finally, the sentiment was stamped on a Die-namics LLD Accent It – Flags & Tags die cut, also popped up on foam tape.

You’re Not Old…You’re Vintage

Hi, everyone, today I have a card with one of my all time favorite MFT sets: Die-namics Just My Type Die & Stamp Set. I love everything about it—the old typewriter, the vintage print, how the paper appears to be coming off the roller, everything! Not to mention the awesome sentiments, like this one :) I’m using the MFT January Guest Designer Contest sketch for this card—be sure to get all the details about the contest HERE.

So, I’m using some gorgeous patterns from Basic Grey’s Plumeria collection and stamped the typewriter and sentiment on Whip Cream card stock. I did some stitching and used Dot N' Go - Mini Glue Dots to adhere my layers. I adhered a strip of lace from Graphic 45’s Trim Staples and then tied around some Tim Holtz - Idea-ology - Crinkle Ribbon that I dyed with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Reinkers - Iced Spruce and vintaged up with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Reinker - Antique Linen. Next, I tied on a button from the Basic Grey - Plumeria - Vintage Buttons set with hemp cord and inserted some Maya Road Trinket Pins - Vintage Pearl. The blue panel and typewriter are popped up on foam tape.

A Little Birdie Told Me

Hey, everyone, I wanted to tell you how I did this birdcage today. First, I cut the Die-namics Contempo Cage and Stamp Set birdcage from one of these chipboard coasters and then proceeded to paint it up. First I covered it with Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber – Butterscotch, then I swiped it with Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber – Espresso for a sort of woodgrain look. I did the same with the Die-namics Branch With Leaves die cut, only I used Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber – Mushroom, THEN the Espresso.

My patterned paper is from Echo Park’s Everyday Eclectic paper pad and the ribbon is more of my Tim Holtz - Idea-ology - Crinkle Ribbon 10 Yards that I colored with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Reinkers - Barn Door. I used foam tape to pop up the elements and Mono Adhesive Tape Runner – Permanent for adhering layers. The sentiment was stamped on a Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon flag.

May This Christmas Be Filled With Joy

Hi, all! Today I have another Christmas card for you. I’m building my stash up nicely and now I need to find the time to get them ready to go out!

The gorgeous paper I’m using is Aspen Frost by Basic Grey. I’m using a simple layout to show off these beautiful papers. I’m also using some Tim Holtz - Idea-ology - Tinsel Twine – Winter and Tim Holtz - Idea-ology - Crinkle Ribbon that I dyed with my Tim Holtz Distress Ink Reinker - Barn Door. The sentiment is from LJD Stitched Stockings and was stamped with Wild Cherry ink on patterned paper and popped up on foam tape. All edges were sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I did some stitching and tied on a Jellybean Green button with silver cord.

Have a Bright Sunshiny Day

 

Hi, all! Today I have another card using products from eclectic Paperie. I’m using Wendy Vecchi’s Wildflower Art Stamp Set again. This is the second flower image in the set and it was stamped on some patterned paper with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Copic markers. The rich paper I’m using is from the Farmhouse Paper Company - Fair Skies 6x6 Paper Pad. I also used some Vintage Photo Distress Ink and my Inkssentials Foam Blending Tool to sponges around the edges and tied the button on with some gorgeous new baker’s twine from The Twinery - Midnight Blue. I used some Scotch Foam Mounting Tape to pop up the image panel.

Just a Note

Hi, all, here today with a card using some amazing products from the eclectic Paperie store!

I fell in love with Wendy Vecchi’s Art Parts when we did the blog hop with Wendy’s products and I have another card using an Art Part today.

My card base is using some lovely paper from Basic Grey’s Plumeria and is perfect to set off the Wendy Vecchi - Studio 490 - Art Parts Leaves and the Maya Road Vintage Linen Burlap Roses. To color the leaves, first I painted them with my Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber – Lettuce. Then I went over it, swiping with my Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber - Lake Mist. After that dried, I sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and my Inkssentials Foam Blending Tool. After I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of my card base, I adhered the leaves, then the linen rose.

In he upper right corner you can see I added some paper piercing for a little balance. I used my Idea-ology - Tool Design Ruler 12" and my Tonic Studios Retractable Craft Pick for this.

Very simple but these gorgeous products turn even a simple card into a special one.

Use Every Color In the Box

Hi, everyone! I’m here today with a card using some products from eclectic Paperie. This CAS design just popped into my head and I couldn’t wait to get it on paper! First, I stamped this daisy image from Wendy Vecchi’s Wildflower Art Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored the petals in a rainbow pattern with Copic markers. The sentiment was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut in pieces, and popped up on Scotch Foam Mounting Tape. To add a little texture, I made some score lines with my Scor-Buddy and added a Copic colored rhinestone trio embellishment. To do that, I simply adhered some individual stones from a sheet of Mini Rhinestone Swirls – Silver.

On the inside of the card, I stamped another sentiment from the set.
