MFT Greatest Hits - à la modes

It's time again for MFT Greatest Hits! This month we're showcasing the à la modes, those sassy girls :) I'm showing you à la modes in What's Cooking? (temporarily out of stock) but you'll want to see what the rest of the Creative Team has come up with using these cuties, so be sure to check by Kim's blog after 11:00am this morning and she'll have the complete list for you.

I love to cook, so I guess that's why I'm especially drawn to this one. I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel and colored it with Copic markers. I used the Little Open Scallop Die-namics die for the second element base--I really {heart} that little die. Other MFT products I used are Sweet Tooth and Hot Fudge card stock, and Chocolate Kiss button collection.

For the inside, I stamped part of the image again, without coloring, and added another sentiment from the set. So cute!

And here are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Want some good MFT news?  There is a PROMOTION going on at MFT and here are the details for you:

Amaryllis Gift Tag - FTTC #96

It's time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC96)! This week Silke Ledlow is our challenge host and Silke is challenging us to 3D Holiday Gifts! A card can be made to go along with your gift, but a 3D Christmas gift item is the main challenge! We look forward to seeing what you create!

OK, so I didn't REALLY do a 3D project. BUT I had a great idea for a gift and ran with it--that counts, right? It's *for* a gift. Right? I had one more flower from the A Year In Flowers Set 3 to do - December - and it's perfect for a tag for a gift of an amaryllis bulb. You know, the little kits you get with the pot, the soil less potting medium, and the bulb, all in one box. I love them and thought it would be a perfect little giftie for a co-worker. Here it is hanging on a Kraft bag--I keep lots of these on hand since they go with pretty much everything.

And here's a close up of the tag. I stamped the image on Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers. I truly love these images and I'm sorry this is the last one (sniff, sniff). They've been so much fun to do throughout this year.

After I colored it, I cut it out, then proceeded to make the tag. I used a manilla tag as the base, and added some patterned paper from Webster's Pages Waiting For Santa 6 x 6 pad, matted with Always Artichoke. Then I cut a circle of more patterned paper with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die, layered some card stock on it and sponged all the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Finally, I popped the colored image up on the circle and added a little twill bow.
And here are the Copics I used.

Now, be sure to go see what my team mates did with this challenge!
Thanks for stopping by!

It's a sketch - C4C#66

This week's C4C challenge is a sketch, brought to us by the talented Cindy Haffner. Here's the sketch:

And here's my card. As I may have mentioned a few times, I'm not a big fan of square cards so I made mine A2 size, but otherwise followed the sketch.

Paper is from Crate Paper's Snowy Day and images are PTI. The tree (and matching die) are from Tree Trimming Trio and the sentiment tag was made from an image from Holly Jolly. This is a GREAT sketch--it made this an easy card to make--thanks, Cindy!

Sooooo, NOW, be sure to check out the samples by the rest of my crazy girls...er, I mean the Crazy 4 Challenges team ;-)
THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C66.

Thanks so much for dropping in today!

~Supplies~
Stamps: Tree Trimming Trio, Holly Jolly (PTI)

MFT December Hop and Shop

OK, it's finally here--MFT Release night! It's time to hop and shop! If you got here from the fabulous Sherrie's blog you're right on track. If not, I'm sayin' it would be a good idea to start at Kim's blog 'cause that's the beginning and you don't want to miss one little THING about this crazy awesome release!

I'm so happy that I get to show you the newest set in the Inspired by... series, Inspired by Love.

I started by stamping the music image in light green, stamped off once, then stamped the heart image in peach, then the Love image in black, then cut it out. Then I cut a layer to pop up over it like a frame, using the new Textile Frame Die-namics die for the inside window. I so {heart} this die!!! The shape is to "die" for. Sorry ;-) Then I made a nice fluffy bow with wrinkled seam binding and topped it off with a Rolled Rose Die-namics rose. I think it's such a romantic card, don't you? I LOVE that "Love" image--so vintage.

And here's the inside. I repeated the layered stamping, only I added a sentiment from the set.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Remember that somewhere along the hop there's some blog candy. We're not spillin' the beans about where it is, but for the best chance of winning it, it's a good idea to leave a comment on every designer's blog. Just sayin'...

Now, you'll want to skedaddle on over to my BFF Tammy's blog to see what she has for you. I'm so stinkin' excited to have her hopping with us tonight and I know for a fact that she's got something outrageously fabulous to show you.

~Supplies~
Stamps: Inspired by Love (MFT)
Paper: Sweet Tooth, Black Licorice (MFT);
Ink: Sage Shadow, Blush Blossom (SU!); Memento Tuxedo Black; Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger)
Accessories/tools: Cuttlebug (Provocraft); Textile Rectangle Die-namics die; Labels Four Nestabilities die (Spellbinders); leaf punch (Marth Stewart); 3M foam tape; seam binding

MFT December Teaser, Day Five

Can you believe this is the last day of MFT's December teasers!? Tonight is the night--release party and then hop and shop!! Yeehaw!! Today we're previewing From the Bottom of My Heart WTG and Clearly Sentimental About Love (Triple Scoop set). I'm showing you Clearly Sentimental About Love, but first here are a few things you need to know:
  • The December Guest Designer winner will be announced at the release party.
  • Teasers end today. Be sure to check Kim's blog at 11:00am for links to designers previewing today. There will be a prize hidden on two of the Creative Team's blog posts. Leaving a comment on every designer's blog post will give you the best chance of winning :)
  • The November Hop and Shop will begin at 10:00pm TONIGHT, with the hop starting at Kim's Blog.
OK, got that? Good :) Now for my card. I decided to make a Valentine's Day card more on the masculine side. NOT that you can't give pink hearts to a guy for Valentine's Day, but I wanted to see if I could make some blues work.

First, I stamped and die cut one of the border images from the new Textile Rectangle Die-namics Die and Stamp Set on Bashful Blue with Chocolate Chip ink. Then I stamped a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Love on Fossil card stock, punched it out, and popped it up on the rectangle. I'm using the great sketch that's the Wednesday Stamp Club challenge today for my layout, and used a piece of wide twill from the Creme Cotton Twill Collection and some twine and a button from the Earth Girl Collection (out of stock) or that horizontal element.

Here's the inside, where I used a sentiment from From the Bottom Of My Heart WTG set and the new Hearts a Plenty Die-namics die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you tonight at the release party and the hop!

This card is also for Color Throwdown #121. Get all the details here.
