MFTWSC101_2012dec5

Hi, everyone, it’s me, back again with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. You can find the sketch on the MFT blog and also in the MFT forum on SCS, as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

MFTWSC101

I’m using PI – Frosty and Fabulous for my card today. I stamped my sweet snowman on Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 130lb paper with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copic markers. I followed the sketch and added Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX horizontal elements, zig zag stitched on the ends. I popped the snowman panel up on foam dots and added a Die-namics Let It Snowflake die cut topped with a hemp cord tied Paver Red button.

Here’s the inside with a sentiment from
a la modes Sparkling Season.

Here are the Die-namics dies I used on this card:

CTD221_2012dec5

Hi, everyone! It’s Color Throwdown time and this week I’m the host. I couldn’t let us get this close to Christmas without a traditional color palette to play with, now could I?

swatch 221
I’m using MFT’s Inspired by Christmas for my Santa image, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Kraft card stock, then cut out with a Die-namics Circle STAX
. I added a Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX strip and a Die-namics Let It Snowflake die cut, embellished with a hemp cord-tied Jellybean Green button. I did some stitching and sponging with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added a few black flat back glitter pearls.

The Perfect Gift–MFT December Teasers, Day One

teaserday1_2012dec5

Hey, there, everyone! Today is the first day of teasers for MFT’s December release. Today we have two new sets from Lisa Johnson Designs: Gift Card Greetings II and On the Line. There’s also a coordinating die for the gift card set: Die-namics Gift Card Pocket – Horizontal. How cool is that!? Before I show you my card using all of these soon-to-be-released products, here’s a little something you need to know:

Here are the details about the upcoming release:

  • You can attend the New Release Party on December 11 from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can WIN PRIZES!
  • The MFT release, including all new stamp sets and Die-namics, is on December 11 at 10 PM EST.  You'll find all the newest products HERE at release time.
  • The guest designer contest is going on now!  Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $200 in stamp sets and Die-namics.
  • If you'd like to see all the teasers for today, please click on over to the MFT Blog NOW.  Be sure to leave comments as you go for the chance to win one of 2, $10 gift certificates given away daily.  The winners will be posted on December 11 just before the release party, on the MFT blog.

Alrighty, then! I’m using several new products on this card in addition to those I mentioned earlier. See that snowflake? That’s Die-namics Snowflake Doily (squeeeeeel!!) and is a perfect winter-themed doily. I {heart} it a lot. Then there’s the new Die-namics Postage Stamp STAX. Need I say more? Awesome, just awesome! I cut it out or patterned paper first, then cut another copy from Steel Gray card stock and attached the two on an offset. Gives the impression of a border without really being one. Then I tied around some Honeydew baker’s twine and tied on a Steel Gray button as an accent. Then I cut my gift card out, stamped the sentiment, from Gift Card Greetings II, on the front, assembled it, and popped it up on foam dots. I did a little stitching and some sponging with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and I was done. I think this would make a great masculine Thank You card ‘cause here’s the inside, with a sentiment from On the Line. I LOVE how crisp and clean this sentiment set is and I ADORE the line around this one in particular.

May This Christmas Be Filled With Joy

filledwithjoy_2012dec3

Hi, all! Today I have another Christmas card for you. I’m building my stash up nicely and now I need to find the time to get them ready to go out!

The gorgeous paper I’m using is
Aspen Frost by Basic Grey. I’m using a simple layout to show off these beautiful papers. I’m also using some Tim Holtz - Idea-ology - Tinsel Twine – Winter and Tim Holtz - Idea-ology - Crinkle Ribbon that I dyed with my Tim Holtz Distress Ink Reinker - Barn Door. The sentiment is from LJD Stitched Stockings and was stamped with Wild Cherry ink on patterned paper and popped up on foam tape. All edges were sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I did some stitching and tied on a Jellybean Green button with silver cord.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set:

Holiday Hugs–C4C #165

C4C165_2012dec1

Hi there, friends! It’s
Crazy 4 Challenges time again! This week we’re being challenged to use a snowman on our card or project and this little PI – Holiday Hugs Snowman was the perfect way for me to do that. So I stamped him on some of my fave Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 130lb paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copic markers. I used some patterned paper elements and then wrapped some Stone baker’s twine around and tied on a Paver Red button. I stamped the sentiment on a Die-namics LLD Accent It – Flags & Tags
die cut and adhered it up under the edge of the button. Finally, I finished it off with a few clear Dew Drops for balance.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set:

Here’s the
Die-namics die I used on this card:
