MFT VIP Blog Hop - Shop 'til you "drop"!

Are you ready for a little VIP hoppin'? If you've gotten here from Kim's blog, carry on, if you just stumbled by, then why don't you double back there 'cause that's where the beginning is. Then, c'mon back here and continue on the hop.

This month's WTG is having a baby!!! This set is called Baby Bump, and will be available in the VIP kit for one day only (will be available through March 17th at 11:59 PM EST) THREE WEEKS early!!! It won't be available again until the full April release on April 7. Here's what's in the kit:

Baby Bump VIP $32.50

Baby Bump stamp set 15.95
Baby Bump Ribbons 5.95
Baby Bump “Diaper Pins” 4.95
10 pack fossil (Kraft) scalloped note card set (A2) with envelopes 5.5
Baby Bump additions FREE ($9 value)

I decided to make a gift card enclosure for my project. I'm using one of the Fossil Note Cards for my base, and Fossil card stock for matting, both of which seem to be sold out right now, but they'll be back in stock soon. I stamped the image on a Cream Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and paper pieced and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is also from the set, and I used a flower I crocheted, tied on with a button and twine, some ribbon, and some Glittered Garnishes from the Spring collection to embellish.

Here's the inside with the pocket for the gift card, attached with red line tape. This sentiment is from the Baby Bump Additions set. Isn't that an adorable sentiment!???

OK, now it's time to hop on over to the ever-talented Melody to see what she's got for you. I know you're gonna love it!

Butterfly Moments - FTTC #58

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC58)! This week Silke Ledlow is our challenge host! Silke has designed a sketch for us to try. Actually, Silke designed two sketches. Are you are feeling the round or the square? You could be feeling a bit of both and play twice! As far as sketches go, you can turn them increase or decrease the sizes a bit, but in the end, it should still look like the sketch. We would love to see what you create with us this week!

I chose to do the square card--I'm not a fan of round cards so I was so happy to see we had a choice, LOL! Yeah, I know it's a challenge and it should *challenge* one but I'm just not lovin' round cards :)

I'm using some of the new Green At Heart Basic Grey paper. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and the butterfly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Classic Ivory card stock. Both images are from the Butterfly Moments set. I colored the butterfly with Copic markers and cute the sentiment out with a Classic Oval Nestabilities die. Then I sponged around the edge with ink and added some Dew Drops.

Check out the other designers blogs to see what they created with the sketch!

Thank you cherry much!

I'm bringing out an MFT set I haven't gotten inky in a while, but I love! It's called Feelin' Fruity? This card is for SCS inspiration challenge #223 and I'm using this fabric for my inspiration. It's also for SCS CAS challenge #57--to use two shapes. I'm using a circle and an oval.

This card is very simple so I won't bore you with too many details, but I stamped the cherries on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by today!

It's a man thing - Crazy 4 Challenges #28

It's another Crazy 4 Challenges Day! Today, I'm asking everyone to make a masculine card. I have a hard time making masculine cards so this will get me to at least have ONE in my stash, LOL! And I hope it will encourage lots of you to join in the challenge with us.

This week we're again being sponsored by DRS Designs.

For my card, I pulled out this little MFT Love Machine set that had never seen ink. If it's not a masculine image, I don't know what is, LOL. So, I stamped it on a Cream Perfect Paper Panel and colored it with Copic markers. I'm using Mercy's Tuesday Sketch #64, but had to tweak it a bit to accommodate the longer length of this image. Again, I "stained" the twill tape with Distress Inks and laced it through some large grommets and tied it in a knot. LOVE how that turned out--I'll be doing that again. The rest is pretty simple--I stamped the sentiment on DP and cut it out with a Classic Inverted Scallop Nestabilities die and matted it with another to resemble gears. Lastly, I added a few brads for balance and a few baby braddies to the robot's front. I'm liking it :)

NOW, be sure to check out the samples by the rest of my crazy girls...er, I mean the Crazy 4 Challenges team ;-)
