Focus On What Matters–CTD #327

CTD327_2015jan28

Hey, everyone, welcome to this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! Wanda has chosen this pallet of bold colors based on her inspiration piece.

swatch 327
I hadn’t inked up Bokeh Builder in a while so I thought it was time to get it out and use it. I started my card with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then on another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock, I swiped some embossing paste using Grid Stencil. While that was drying I stamped up my Bokeh Builder panel using Wild Wisteria dye ink, Blu Raspberry dye ink, Limelight dye ink, and Lemon Drop dye ink. I popped the embossed layer up on foam, then popped the stamped panel up, as well, at a wonky angle. Next I added a Pierced Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics cut from Translucent Vellum and stamped it with an image from Eye Charts and Sweet Tooth pigment ink. I heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder, tied some silver cord through a punched hole, and popped it up as well. I placed the foam tape under the “Y” and under where I knew the sentiment strip was going to go so none shows through the vellum. Next is a strip of silver glitter paper, then the sentiment strip. It’s made from Steel Gray card stock stamped with more Sweet Tooth pigment ink and also heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder. I finished off with some LLD Geek Is Chic Glasses Die-namics, cut from more silver glitter paper.

Another sentiment from Bokeh Builder was stamped on the inside with Steel Gray dye ink.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily.
