My debut--Color Throwdown #24

vI'm so excited! This is my first card as team member for the Color Throwdown challenge! This is challenge number 24 and LeAnne chose these colors:

Aren't these just the sweetest colors together! As soon as I saw them I thought of this stamp set from Our Craft Lounge--here's what I did with it.

My base card is Very Vanilla with a layer of Mellow Moss, a layer of Baja Breeze, and then a layer of DP from Basic Grey's Two Scoops 6 x 6 pad. The second element is simply Baja Breeze on Mellow Moss--I had to make myself *not* put anything else on that element, LOL, but I thought the card was busy enough without anything else--although I surely *do* love busy, LOL. The focal image was stamped on watercolor paper with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and colored with SU! markers in Mellow Moss and Creamy Caramel--the Baja Breeze was done with a reinker and a blender pen. It was then cut/embossed with a circle Nestabilities die and very lightly sponged around the edges with Baja Breeze. Then it was matted with Baja Breeze and Mellow moss, with small flat-backed pearls added on each scallop. The whole thing is up on 3M foam squares. Three Prima flowers accent the left bottom corner. To get the two challenge color flowers, I simply brushed some ink from reinkers onto white/vanilla primas. Then they were attached with large gold-rimmed pearl brads that I got in the wedding section at Michaels. The sentiment is from the same set and was colored/matted in the same manner and is also up on 3M foam squares. Three flat back pearls give some balance in the lower right corner. This was a great combination for my first challenge as a team member--thanks for making it easy, LeAnne!!

Thanks for stopping by!
