Welcome back for the final Flourishes October sneak peek! Another fabulous set from artist Marcella Halsey. This month is chocked-full of Christmas goodness so I'm one happy camper, how about you?
The last set we have to show you is Christmas Candles. I love candles, although I have this fear of fire so I don't burn them--I have candle warmers in pretty much every room, though, especially at Christmas. This votive image is so festive, don't you think?
This card is a two-in-one. It's a card and a gift--of an ornament. I stamped the votive image on Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with these Copic collections: Poppy, Evergreen, and Fields. Then I cut it out with my Grand Calibur and a Labels Ten Nestabilities die and sponged the edges. Then I popped it up on two sizes of Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornaments die cuts. For the bottom layer. I cut the patterned paper and then trimmed around the embossed line with scissors so the red layer ended up as a mat. I punched a hole near the top and added a seam binding loop for hanging, secured with a button and some baker's twine. The sentiment was stamped on a 2011 Heirloom Ornament die cut, embellished with red pearls, and popped up on foam.
And here's the inside, with a sentiment from the set, plus I added an ornament from Holiday Sparkles.
