Sooooo, you didn’t think I was going to get through a Valentine release and NOT make a banner, did you? ;-) I had SO much fun with this!
I’m using my Die-namics Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX for the base of each pennant. I used three sizes—one of corrugated paper, one of Black Licorice card stock, and each of the top layers is a different patterned paper. Then I added a new Die-namics Heart Doily layer, a medallion made with my Die-namics 1/4” Rosette die, a silver glitter circle using my Die-namics Circle STAX, a Die-namics Heart STAX heart, and a letter using Die-namics High-Rise Alphabet Uppercase. I sandwiched a Die-namics Leaf-Filled Flourish between the heart doily and the medallion for a little extra color contrast.
The header was made with the new Die-namics Layered Heart Border using Red Hot card stock and Black Licorice card stock. After the base was done, I added something different to each of the pennants. For the “L” pennant, I created a little element consisting of a Die-namics Heart STAX die cut, an “arrow” from the new Die-namics LLD Accent It – Labels & Tabs with “Be Mine” from LLD Journal It – For the Record stamped with Black Licorice Ink and topped with a heart from Die-namics Hearts a Plenty.
For the “O”, I added a Die-namics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose and a sentiment from Lollipop Additions – Love, stamped on a Die-namics Mini Wavy Pennants die cut. Sweet, indeed.
The “V” sports a key and lock from another new Die-namics die set, named appropriately, Die-namics Keys and Locks. I cut them from silver metallic paper and tied them onto the heart doily with some hemp cord. Then I used the Die-namics LLD Accent It – Labels & Tabs again for a little arrow pointing to the Die-namics Rustic Heart die cut. The sentiments are from LLD Document It – Off the Chart and are stamped with Black Licorice Ink and Wild Cherry Ink.
The “E” has the addition of a leaf stem and heart from LJD Homespun Hearts, stamped on Whip Cream card stock with Wild Cherry Ink and Jellybean Green Ink. The sentiment is from the same set and stamped in Black Licorice Ink on Kraft card stock and a Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon flag.
And finally, I added some Die-namics Heart STAX hearts to separate the pennants. A Black Licorice button and hemp cord dress up the center of each heart. Once I had all of my elements made, I hot glued them to some heavy jute cord, making a loop at each end for hanging.
Here are the products being released tonight at 10pm that I used on this project:
Whew! And that’s it! I really did have a ton of fun making this banner—so much that I’m thinking I need to make a Winter one, too :)
