Wishing You a Happy Birthday–CTD #238

CTD238_2013apr17

Hey, everyone, and welcome back for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! Today, Wanda had an awesome color combo for us to work with—I love it!

swatch 238

I went really simple with my card. I pawed through my patterned paper pads until I found what I wanted, then cut out a bunch of buttons from a chip board coaster and patterned paper using Die-namics Button Border. I adhered the paper to the chip board and then threaded each with hemp cord. Yes, I did every. single. button. One of my rules: no naked buttons :)

Then I stamped the sentiment, from Clearly Sentimental About Birthdays with Black Licorice ink and adhered the buttons down on a Sweet Tooth card stock card with hot glue.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set:

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD238 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week.
