Hey, Girlie!–CTD #244

Happy Wednesday! Since it’s Wednesday, it’s Color Throwdown day! Today, the oh-so-very-talented Lynn has a lovely color palette for us to work with:

swatch 244

For my background, I used the new MFT Mini Chicken Wire Stencil and sponged it with Blu Raspberry ink on Sweet Tooth card stock. Then I layered it on Steel Gray card stock and tied around some baker’s twine. I then added a Die-namics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose from Razzle Berry card stock and two Die-namics Upsy Daisy flowers from Lemon Drop card stock. I added some Die-namics Royal Leaves and the leaves that come with the daisy set cut from Steel Gray card stock. The sentiment is from More Essential Sentiments and was stamped on a Sweet Tooth card stock Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon flag.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set:

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD244 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

  1. Gorgeous CAS!! So soft and pretty.

  2. That was so smart to use the grey for the leaves! I was just going to leave off the leaves... But, the neutral is a nice balance!! :)) :))

  3. Fab background and beautiful flowers!!!

  4. Beautiful Bar! Love the sponged background using the stencil and your pop of color with the pretty flowers!

  5. LOVE these bold colored flowers on the soft aqua background! Beautiful CAS card!

  6. What a pretty flower, Bar, and I love the have used the colors beautifully!!!!

  7. The vibrant colors, layout and overall design is awesome, Barbara!

  8. Beautiful! I love the soft look of the stenciled background with the more intense colors of the flowers.

Thank you for your kind comments--they make my day and I appreciate every one!
