It’s a Good Day–C4C #184

Happy Saturday! It’s Crazy 4 Challenges time and I’m your host for May. I thought we’d start off the month with a sweet color combo:

My focal image is from MFT’s Chalkboard Greetings, May’s Triple Scoop which will be available on May 7th at 10pm. I stamped it on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. Then I sponged around some white pigment ink for more of the “chalkboard” effect. It’s behind a frame I made from patterned paper with a new Die-namics die also being released this month, Die-namics Vertical Fame. You can’t see the top, which has a nice arch, making this a gorgeous frame.

After I got my sentiment framed. I popped it up on foam and then added some Die-namics Mini Royal Roses and some Die-namics Royal Leaves on the arch.

And here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set:

And that's it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you!

  1. GMTA ... I laughed when I uploaded my card for this challenge and saw we both used the same stamp set & die-namics. Love your card

  2. This is one of my favourite cards you've made in ages! I just love it! I'm not a fan of black so while I love the chalkboard look, when I make a chalkboard focal piece, I never know what to pair it with. Music paper is perfect! Thanks for the inspiration! And I love that colour combo! I've signed up to get email updates from that challenge blog!
