Sunflower Birthday–CTD #276

CTD276_2014jan22

Hello, and welcome to this week’s Color Throwdown! I’m the host this week and I drew on this inspiration piece for my colors.

swatch 276

I started with a Kraft card stock base, then stenciled some modeling paste on a Sweet Tooth card stock panel using the On the Diagonal Stencil. To add some contrast, I sponged some red waterproof ink over it after it dried. I then added a Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics cut from Steel Gray card stock and then a Sunflower Die-namics flower cut from Lemon Drop card stock. The center was cut from Kraft card stock and everything got sponged with distress ink. The sentiment, from LJD Vintage Frames, was stamped on Sweet Tooth card stock with Steel Gray ink and popped up on foam. Some red enamel dots finish it off.

The inside has another sentiment from LJD Vintage Frames.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD276 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
