Deck the Halls–Holiday Wishes

mftblog_2014dec25

Hi, everyone, and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you all! Today MFT is sharing cards created for this day on the MFT Blog and I’m going to tell you a little about mine.

I started with a Grout Gray card stock base and added a layer of Sweet Tooth card stock on which I stenciled embossing paste through Small Brick Wall stencil. After that dried, I placed the stencil over the embossed bricks and sponged on some Wild Cherry dye ink, then popped it up on foam. I created a wreath, using Winter Wreath Die-namics and Gumdrop Green card stock, Jellybean Green card stock, and Sour Apple card stock and “hung” it on the wall. The bow was cut from red glitter paper and popped up on foam, and red flat back pearls were used for the berries. I stamped the sentiment, from DC Ornament Banner Builder on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder, then popped it up on foam, as well.

Another sentiment from DC Ornament Banner Builder was stamped on the inside with Wild Cherry dye ink.

And that’s what I have for you today! Wishing everyone the Merriest Christmas and the Happiest Holidays! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you again soon!
