MFT December Release Rewind

releaserewind2_2014dec4

Hi, everyone! It’s time for this month’s Release Rewind! I love this feature since it gives the designers a great opportunity to use some products we might not have gotten around to using during the release or to delve deeper into some others. I’m really excited about this chance to be creative with the amazing new MFT products that are available right HERE, right NOW in the MFT Boutique. To get all the details, be sure to stop by the MFT Blog.

I really cannot get enough of Desert Bouquet so I’m using again—and I’m sure I’ll be using it again and again! I love what you can do with these sweet flowers and foliage! For my first card, I started with a Kraft card stock base. On a piece of Primitive White card stock, I cut a LJD Peek-a-Boo Circle Windows Die-namics and to center the sentiment, from Friends Like Us, I laid the die cut layer on the base and traced inside the scallops. I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice dye ink and erased my pencil marks. Next, I stamped the chevron image with Black Licorice dye ink and the flowers and foliage with Persimmon dye ink, Peach Bellini dye ink, Wild Wisteria dye ink, Limelight dye ink, Jellybean Green dye ink, and Black Licorice dye ink around the opening. I tied around some hemp cord and popped the layer up on the base.

Another sentiment (this cracks me UP!) was stamped on the INSIDE with Black Licorice dye ink.

My second card uses the Free With $60 Die-namics die, Friends Die-namics.

I cut it from Sweet Tooth card stock and popped it up on foam on a rainbow made from, top to bottom, Wild Cherry card stock, Persimmon card stock, Lemon Drop card stock, Limelight card stock, Tropical Teal card stock, Wild Wisteria card stock, and Razzle Berry card stock. I stamped the sentiment, from Friends Like Us, with Black Licorice ink and added some narrow strips of Black Licorice card stock at the top and bottom. To finish off I added some clear gems and clear sequins.

Another sentiment from Friends Like Us was stamped on the inside.

And that’s all I have for you today—thank you SO much for stopping by! See you soon!
