You are Amazing–CTD #331

CTD331_2015feb25

Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Color Throwdown and this week the amazing Jodi Collins is our host! You can’t go wrong with pink and green in my book, and I love the photo that inspired her color combo.

I’ve got a scrappy card for you today and I must say I’m quite happy with now it turned out! It’s OK to say that, right? I started with a Kraft card stock base and built from there, adding, first, a Sweet Tooth card stock panel on which I spread embossing paste through Polka Dot Stencil. Next is a piece of water color paper, created with Small Chevron Stripes Stencil and Razzle Berry dye ink, Cotton Candy dye ink, Jellybean Green dye ink, Black Licorice dye ink, and Kraft dye ink and popped up on foam mounting tape. Then I added a Stitched Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and then dry embossed with Zebra Stencil and tied with hemp cord. Next is a strip of Kraft card stock stamped with Grid Background and Black Licorice eye ink, a Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics cut from Sour Apple card stock and a Flower Medley Die-namics made with Razzle Berry card stock and Daffodil card stock. The sentiment was created by die cutting the “you” from Love & Adore You Die-namics five times and gluing them together with my Quickie Glue Pen then adhering to the Kraft strip. It was finished by stamping the sentiment from Simply Fabulous Sayings on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossing with clear detail embossing powder. I finished off with some enamel dots.

Two images from Friends Like Us were stamped on the INSIDE with Black Licorice dye ink, stamped off once, and Razzle Berry Dye ink.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD331 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented January Guest Designer, Jen Shultz and this week’s Guest Star Stamper, Stephanie Severin!
