Welcome to this month’s MFT Design Team Creative Challenge! This month we’re challenged to create eye-catching backgrounds. Not a problem! I love creating backgrounds with MFT stamps, stencils, and Die-namics!!
I decided to some emboss resisting for my background. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then on another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock, I stamped Grid Background in a rather grungy manner with Versamark, heat embossed with black detail embossing powder, then a watercolor wash with Blue berry dye ink. Next I added a strip of paper I’d created with Happy Birthday Background and Kraft dye ink, Plaid Builder Background and Blueberry dye ink, and the stars from BB Super Boy with Orange Zest dye ink. Under that is a piece of Kraft card stock stamped with Versamark and On the Diagonal Background and Steel Gray ink and a sentiment from For the Boys. And, finally, the sentiment strip, from the recently released For the Boys, stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, then popped up on foam mounting tape. Next I cut a Terrific Ties Die-namics from Orange Zest card stock stamped with LJD Darling Dots and Sweet Tooth pigment ink, also popped up on foam. I finished off with some stars, cut from wood veneer paper and Ranger silver foil card stock with Blueprints 25 Die-namics and Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics.
Another sentiment from For the Boys was stamped on the inside.
And that’s it from me! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
