I do seem to be stuck in shaker card mode ;-) But they are SO much fun to make and I love all those sequins and beads… ;-)
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then on another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock I created some patterned paper with Desert Bouquet and Tropical Teal dye ink, Summer Splash dye ink, Daffodil dye ink, and Chocolate Brown dye ink. I popped that up on foam mounting tape and set about to create my shaker box. I used TRANSFORM-ables Say Hello Die-namics for my window, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and stamped a sentiment from Friends Like Us at the bottom. Then I added some Heat Resistant Acetate behind the word, filled it up with sequins and seed beads, closed up the back with more Sweet Tooth card stock, and adhered it to the base. A few enamel dots finished it off!
Another sentiment from Friends Like Us was stamped on the inside.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown.
