From My Hut to Yours–C4C #298

Hey, there, everyone! It’s that crazy time of the week, time for Crazy 4 Challenges! Today, Frances is the host and here’s her challenge: August 7th was National Lighthouse Day so she’s challenging us to create a project featuring a lighthouse, OR if you don’t have any lighthouse images, think where you would find a lighthouse—near the sea or beach—and use that for your inspiration. Fun, right??

Since I don’t have any lighthouse images, MFT’s recently released Tiki Party is a perfect substitute! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then I cut some Ranger watercolor paper with Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics and watercolored my background with Blueberry dye ink, Summer Splash dye ink, and Kraft dye ink, then built my scene. I cut Tiki Party Die-namics from Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb, stamped the coordinating images from Tiki Party with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored them with Copic markers and added them to my scene, some popped up on foam. My sun was cut from Daffodil card stock with Blueprints 21 Die-namics and my cloud was cut from Sweet Tooth card stock with Cloud Cover-Up Die-namics. The sentiment was stamped at the bottom with Black Licorice hybrid ink.

And that's it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you, including our August Guest Designer, Anna Wight!

THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C298.

Thanks so much for stopping by today—see you soon!
