Hey, there! It’s time for a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge and I’m hosting this week! I hope to see you playing along with my colorful palette.
Obviously, I didn’t take my inspiration from the photo, but I did go all CAS using Diamonds Die-namics from MFT. I did a watercolor wash for my background using Peerless Watercolors on Ranger Watercolor Paper, then stamped Distressed Patterns with Black Licorice hybrid ink and Delicata Gold pigment ink, then stamped the sentiment from Bling It On.
The gems were also watercolored in the challenge colors and the facets were cut from Brushed Gold card stock, then popped up on foam mounting tape with everything popped up on the Sweet Tooth card stock base. I finished off with some enamel dots and it was done!
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD432 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd432 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented March Guest Designer, Lisa Lara!
