Hello there!! It’s time, it’s time!! MFT’s March Release is now available for purchase in the MFT Online Boutique! Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details and to see how you can have a chance to win free stuff!
I have THREE cards for you tonight but before I get started, I wanted to tell you that I have a class in this month’s Release Classes. You can find it and more at the PDF Classes page on the MFT site.
I just couldn’t stop working with these fabulous products—too much fun! First up, I’m featuring No Place Like Home stamp set and Home Sweet Home Die-namics from the march release. I watercolored my background to look like a lake and sky, then created the rest of my scene using Stitched Valley Die-namics, Blueprints 21 Die-namics, and Puffy Clouds Die-namics. All card stock colors and supplies are listed below.
My “path” was cut with Blueprints 25 Die-namics and the sailboat is from Soak Up the Fun—I stamped and colored it then fussy cut it out before adding it.

My second card using No Place Like Home and Home Sweet Home Die-namics was inspired by a watercolor I have of Rainbow Row in Charleston, SC.
Again, my background was watercolored and then I added the street and sidewalk, stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed. I cut the houses from different colors of card stock (see below), arranged them and added the “landscaping”.
Puffy Clouds Die-namics and Blueprints 21 Die-namics for the sun finish it off.
*****
And, finally, how about a birdie neighborhood?
Believe it or not, a piece of watercolor paper, stamped with Wire Background was the inspiration for this card. I stamped it months ago for a card and changed my mind so it was just hanging around on my table waiting to be needed ;-) I did a wash on it with Peerless Watercolors and put it behind my Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics cut out as the base for my little scene. The sentiment from No Place Like Home was stamped before popping the card front up on foam mounting tape. The tree limb is from I’m Tweet on You stamp set, stamped on X-Press It Blending card and colored with Copic markers. I fussy cut it out and popped it up on foam.
Then I built my birdhouses (see supplies for card stock used) and added a flock of birds to complete the neighborhood.
And that’s it! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR No Place Like Home stamp set and Home Sweet Home Die-namics and Birdhouses Die-namics in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, March 9th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on Friday, March 10th. Good luck!!
