MFT July Release Countdown, Day One

Hello and welcome to Day One of MFT’s July Release Countdown!! Tonight is the night! Release is at 9pm, Eastern so set your alarms! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details. Today we’re previewing Sketchy Flowers Stamp Set, Sketchy Flowers Die-namics, All About You Stamp Set, You Trio Die-namics, Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics, Heart-Shaped Balloon Die-namics, Celebrate Die-namics, and Assortment 3 Envelopes.

I have two cards for you today, both with watercolored backgrounds. First, I simply did a wash with Peerless Watercolors on Ranger Watercolor Paper, stamped the sentiment from All About You, and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam mounting tape.



I then added Heart-Shaped Balloon Die-namics, cut from Silver Sparkle Card Stock and drew the strings free hand with a black Copic Multiliner pen. Then I cut You Trio Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock and popped it up on foam. To finish, I added a few Sparkling Clear Mix Sequins, Fresh Mint 4mm Sequins, and Aquamarine 6mm Sequins.

For my second card, I stamped and embossed the background before watercoloring.



Again on Ranger Watercolor Paper, I stamped the leaf image from Sketchy Flowers with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and applied my watercolor wash. To add a little something more to the background, I splattered some watered down Kuretake Gansai watercolor in black., then adhered it to the Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam mounting tape.



Next I stamped the sentiment from All About You with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock and also heat embossed it with white detail embossing powder. I cut Celebrate Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and popped it up on foam. To finish, I added some Sparkling Clear Mix Sequins, Aquamarine 6mm Sequins, and Aquamarine 4mm Sequins.
