Hi, everyone, welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Vickie has a classic color combo for us based on her equally classic inspiration piece.
I’ve had a piano card on my bucket list for just about forever and I can’t think of better time to git ‘er done than with these colors! To start, I stamped a Sweet Tooth card stock card base with Sheet Music Background and Black Licorice dye ink. I cut my keys from more Sweet Tooth card stock and Black Licorice card stock using Blueprints 27 Die-namics. The white keys were adhered directly to the card base and the black keys popped up on foam.
I cut the piano top with Stitched Basic Edges 2 Die-namics and stamped the sentiment from Handwritten Happiness with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. I popped the top up on foam, as well, overlapping the ends of the keys. Next I cut Roses in Bloom Die-namics from Wild Cherry card stock and Silver Shine card stock and popped it up on foam across the keyboard to finish.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD459 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd459 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week. We are over the moon excited to have one of the founding members of the challenge as our Guest Designer for September, the incredibly talented Tammy Hershberger!
