Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week my girl Jodi is our hostess and she has a very chic color combo for us based on her gorgeous inspiration piece.
I sort of went with the inspiration piece in that I made this a floral/leafy design. I started by created some Mini Rolled Roses Die-namics cut from Kraft card stock and brushed them with some Gold Delicata pigment ink after they were assembled. To go with them I cut a bunch of Fab Foliage Die-namics from Gumdrop Green card stock and set them aside.
Then I cut A2 Rectangle Frames from Gold Sparkle card stock and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape. I cut Thanks & Hello Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock and twice from Sweet Tooth card stock and stacked them together with spray adhesive. I added that to the card front on top of the frame, arranged the leaves and roses and adhered them down with hot glue for the finish.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD575 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd575 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our super talented January Guest Designer, Amy Tsuruta!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you soon!
