Hello, Beautiful - MFT Color Challenge #134

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Tropical Teal, Summer Splash, Gravel Gray, and Steel Gray. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Beautiful Bloom is one of my favorite stamp and die sets and it had been a while since I’d shown it some love so I got it out for this card. I began by heat embossing the image with silver detail embossing powder and coloring it with Copic markers. Once that was done I created a Gravel Gray card stock base planned the rest of the card. I though the card front needed a little something so I added some Gravel Gray dye ink through English Brick Wall Stencil, matted it with Silver sparkle card stock, and popped it up on foam on the card base.

I popped the bloom up on foam, as well, added a sentiment from Hello, Beautiful Stamp Set, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics. Next I added Beautiful Die-namics—Silver Sparkle card stock on Tropical Teal card stock, adhered with foam for dimension, and finished off with some enamel dots.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

  1. I like the brick addition to the background. This is a great showing for how to add the color elements needed for the challenge.
