Hip Hip Hooray–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #510

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

What a fun sketch!! Obviously I was going to add sentiments for the three horizontal elements but I had to come up with a fun something to be the theme. Also obviously, the vertical element was going to be patterned paper and nothing works much better than my go-to Black & White Stripes.

After looking through my Die-namics, I settled on Balloon Bundle Stamp Set and Die-namics. I wanted to watercolor them this time, so I heat embossed them with black detail embossing powder before beginning. Once it was cool, I used Peerless Watercolors for the balloons.

After adhering the patterned paper, I popped the watercolored balloons up on foam, heat embossed the sentiments, and popped them up as well. For the finish I added some glitter enamel dots.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

  1. Such a fun, bold design! I love how the softness of the watercolor compliments the graphic striped paper! Thanks so much for sharing and inspiring!
